He played Soorma Bhopali in Sholay, Machchar in Purana Mandir, Salman Khan's dad in Andaz Apna Apna and directed the film Soorma Bhopali, with his character as the protagonist.

My pen sketch


Anthony Prabhu Gonsalves was an Indian musical composer, music arranger and teacher. He was popularised as a lead character in the 1977 hit, Amar Akbar Anthony, played by Amitabh Bachchan, was named after him, especially with the song, "My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves". 

He was born on June 12, 1927 and died on January 18, 2012.

 (born 27 October 1954) is an Indian playback singer who works predominantly in Hindi cinema. She has been described in media as one of the most prominent Bhajan singer[6] and also as one of the most successful playback singers of 80s and 90s era of Bollywood.  The recipient of several accolades including a National Film Award, four Filmfare Awards (winning consecutively during 1990–92) and two Odisha State Film Awards, she has been honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri, the country's fourth-highest civilian honour for her contribution in the field of arts. Her contribution in Indian devotional music and Bollywood Industry gained her the titles such as "Bhajan Queen", "Melody Queen"

Here is my charcoal pencil sketch of  the  veteran ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas,

According to information gathered by me from newspapers Pankaj Udhas   was known for his ghazals like Chitti Ayi Hai and Chandi Jai Rang.  Pankaj Udhas was also known for his contributions to Hindi cinema and Indian pop music. 

He gained fame with his ghazal album "Aahat" in 1980 and continued with hits like "Mukarar," "Tarrannum," and "Mehfil." 

His song "Chitthi Aayee Hai" from the film "Naam" became immensely popular. In 1990, Pankaj Udhas collaborated with Lata Mangeshkar for the duet "Mahiya Teri Kasam" in the film Ghayal, which became a huge hit. In 1994, he sang "Na Kajre Ki Dhar" with Sadhana Sargam for the film Mohra, another popular song. Udhas also contributed as a playback singer in films like Saajan, Yeh Dillagi, Naam, and Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee.

Uttara Baokar - Actress - charcoal pencil sketch

Charcoal pencil sketch of Veteran film and television actress Uttara Baokar. She was also a theatre artist. Uttara passed away at a Pune hospital following prolonged illness on April 11, 2023.  She was 79 years old. 

Uttara Baokar studied acting at the National School of Drama (NSD). She has played various roles in different plays such as Padmavati in Mukyhamantri, Mena in Mena Gurjari, Desdemona in Shakespeare's Othello, mother in playwright Girish Karnad's Tughlaq, among others.

Ramanand Sagar was an Indian director, producer, and writer. He is best known for making the television show Ramayan.

Sagar Art Corporation and Ramanand Sagar have to their credit over 50 Hindi movies, including blockbusters such as "Insaniyat", "Ghunghat", "Peghaam", "Aankhen" (1968) "Geet", "Bagavat", "Lalkar", "Kohinoor", "Zindagi", Aarzoo" are just to name a few.


Ramanand created history when he made the television serial "Ramayan", reportedly the longest running serial in India, which featured the life and times of Bhagwan Shri Ram, and his eventual conquest over Lord Ravan and his evil empire in Lanka.
