Ravindra Jain - The legendary music director

Ravindra Jain (28-2-1944 to 9-10-2015) - The blind man who saw it all!
A blind man goes to a doctor.
Doctor says, “ Wait, I am busy!”.
The blind man says, “ Oh, I SEE”.
Normally, I would have brushed aside this pranky joke with a wry smile, but not when it comes to Ravindra Jain, where it virtually becomes a reality. Born with almost closed eyes, he could really see everything with his mind - musical notes, musical instruments, poetry, script, singers - almost everything that's goes into making of a singer, lyricist & music composer of substance.
In one of his OWN poems, he says,
“Face has but two eyes
Mind watches with thousand eyes
Eyes on the face go to sleep
Mind’s eyes are ever vigilant....”
THEY say, “ If body's one organ gets affected, the other organs become more sensitive & strong”. Who-so-ever 'THEY' maybe, they said absolute truth if Ravindra Jain's life and work is to be believed. His mind & other organs worked many-folds more resulting in creation of number of musical gems. Perhaps the sixth sense knows no bounds!
Whenever, I listen to 'Tera mera saath rahe' from 'Saudagar'(1973), the contentment of 'Mahjubhi' (Nutan), after she gets married to 'Moti Miyan' (Amitabh), descends upon me too. He had that rare ability to pass on the mood of the scene onto the viewers through his songs. For instance, listen to his songs like ' Gori tera gaon bada pyaara' or ' Jab deep jale aana' from 'Chit Chor' and many more.
Though he is no more with us since last year, he continues to brighten up our lives with rare musical gems he had gifted to film & music world. Remembering him on his birth anniversary today, we present the same song, 'Tera Mera Sath Rahe' from the film 'Saudagar...
